Sam Rainbird is a left-arm swing bowler and handy batsman from the Clarence District Cricket Club, Hobart, who made his first class debut as a 20-year-old in the 2012/2013 season. Sam was the Tasmanian Tigers’ Sheffield Shield player of the year in 2013/14 and is now a highly experienced first class cricketer.
Sam has also played BBL cricket for the Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Thunder, and Melbourne Stars. He made history in the 2021/22 season by producing the greatest ever figures for Tasmania in a first class game. Sam took 13/42 against Queensland, including 8/21 in the first innings.
